TRANSCRIPT OF THE ABOVE VIDEO: 'Alternative Ways To Say ‘Goodbye’ in English - Improve Your Natural English Speaking Skills'
Hi everyone, its Nicole here, and I'm answering another one of your questions.
One of my students actually asked me today ‘How can I say goodbye in a different way?’ and, you know, that's actually a really really good question because we usually just say bye, or see you later, or goodbye, but we never really say anything else.
So, I thought that maybe we could have a look at a few different ways of saying goodbye just to make it more interesting for you.
So, obviously we've got bye, or bye-bye, or goodbye, you know, many people say see you later, or in British English they often say farewell or cheerio, I don't know if you've heard that before, that's a funny one. I often say see you, or see you next time.
You could also say something like take care, or ok I'm off now, see you, or gotta go, bye. Or see you later alligator - have you heard of that? In a while crocodile.
Um, you know, depending on the time of day you can say good night, or catch you later, keep in touch, see you soon, I’ve got to go now, talk to you later, have a great day, see you next week, bye.
I don't know - there's a few, I'll have a think about it, but they're the most commonly used words for goodbye. Hope that helps - just a really short quick video today. Bye!
